Marissa Jean, Artistic Director

Marissa studied at The New School and received her B.A in Dance under the direction of Neil Greenberg. During her years there she performed in works by Karla Wolfangle, Joao Carvalho, Take Ueyama, Ori Flomin, Ana Sokolow, and the Trisha Brown Dance Company.

Upon graduation Marissa began working at various studios across NY, NJ, CT, DE & PA. Her choreography has been performed regionally and nationally on a competitive level. Her work has been performed at venues such as the Davenport Theater, TADA! Youth Theater, the Salvatore Capezio Theater, and Dixon Place.

Professional credits include the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Today Show, NY Fashion Week, Flying Tiger, Long Island Dance Project, Community Dance Project, Cedan Dance, Stefanie Nelson Dancegroup, and Michelle Duvall Dance Collective. She was given the opportunity to perform at The Hatch, Center for Performance Research, Ailey Citigroup Theater, Triskelion Arts, Dixon Place, Actors Fund Theater, Hudson Guild Theater for the Biomorphic Dance Festival, and at the CEC Meetinghouse for the ETC Performance Series: Philadelphia. She has also performed internationally at the Castello Aragonese in Agropoli, Italy. She is currently on faculty for Man in Motion, Broadway Dance Center's Children & Teens program and has taught for the Mark Morris Children & Teens program.
